The Bessler Quartet debuted in 1976 in the Cecilia Meireles Room in Rio de Janeiro. Since then he has toured the country and the world with presentations, recordings and festivals of great success in the USA, South America, Europe and Japan.
Internationally renowned, the Bessler Quartet is a reference among the country’s most important camera ensembles and has its name definitely included in the history of the great quartets of the century, according to French critics. It was honored for five consecutive years for the Sharp award in best classical album, New York Times standout as Best of the Year and Repertoire Magazine’s Critics Award, among other awards and mentions.
His recordings were released internationally by Le Chant du Monde (France), Take Off (Japan), Presence Rec. (USA), among others and are now available on major digital channels (Spotify, iTunes, etc). Eclético, also appeared alongside dozens of big names in Brazilian popular music, such as Tom Jobim, Caetano Veloso, RPM.
